Aspen Deli

My wife April & I were married on September 8th 2007. I would like to personally thank Betsy for her excellence in service & level of professionalism throughout the planning of our wedding. From the moment we met Betsy for our initial meeting / tasting we felt more than comfortable as she was able to clearly understand our vision for our big day. Throughout the planning of our day Betsy became the go to person for many of our catering & non-catering questions always having additional resources when we did not know where to turn. Our wedding day was an amazing success as guests who attended still comment on how good the food was, how well everything was put together & how well everything seemed to flow. Thanks to Betsy we have a memory of our wedding day we will always treasure deep within our hearts.

Sincerely,
Jason & April Z

Dear Pam,
We can not tell you how happy we were with Aspen Catering. We received a referral from our friends Matt and Saunders Grommesh who said “you worked with their champagne taste on a beer budget”! We were VERY interested as we had the same taste! Haha! Aspen delivered in a big way and EVERY detail was taken care of. You should really re-title yourself Aspen Catering and Etc. as that is exactly what you did for us. The day could not have been more special…every detail taken care of…none of those pesky hidden charges either! We were putting together a wedding with grueling work schedules and it was so nice to have someone working for US and acting as a wedding coordinator in many cases! The great food was brought up all night….with many of our guests sheepishly going back for seconds and thirds! We loved that! I am a member of the Junior League of Dallas and have since used Aspen for many of our events. They have not disappointed!

Sincerely,
Rudy Luna and Lisa Thomas-Luna

Pam,
I want to tell you how impressed I am. You went over and beyond and we are truly grateful. The western extras (ie the tin stars and acrylic hats) were AWESOME! We sang your praises all night. I could not have asked for more from you guys. You're the best!

Thanks, Jenina S.

In May of 2004, I hired Aspen Catering to cater a picnic lunch for the entire 5th grade class at Eisenhower Elementary School. This was their end of the year picnic and we wanted to make it special.

When I contacted Pam with Aspen, I wanted a kid-friendly menu that was affordable for us. She came up with a chopped barbecue sandwich, relish tray, fresh vegetables, drinks, and fabulous brownies. For a little additional cost, she provided table clothes and balloon decorations. The food was delivered and set up on time at the city park next door to the school. We served it ourselves to help with the cost. But when we were through, they came back and picked up the serving trays and coolers and took care of everything. It was wonderful.

The kids had a good nutritious lunch and they liked that it was a "kid-friendly" menu.
The parents were thrilled to serve a picnic that they didn't have to worry about getting it all together since Aspen was taking care of it. It was a win win situation for me. It was a win win situation for the parents and teachers, and definitely, a win win situation for the students.

For my next catering event, I will be contacting Aspen catering.

Sincerely, Patti B.

We have only known Pam since June 2003, but it feels like we have known her for years. During my engagement, a dear friend from my church and later matron of honor recommended Pam and Aspen Catering to me. Matt and I met Pam after work one night to discuss our desires for our wedding reception in October 2003. We both bonded with Pam instantly and did not need to interview anyone else for our wedding. We are detailed oriented people and so is Pam and her staff.

Not only did Pam handle the catering for our wedding reception but she went way above and beyond what we could have imagined. She has been in the business for years and has a lot of contacts. She recommended places for us look at for our reception and with her suggestions we narrowed it down. Pam also knew a florist and a cake decorator and photographer.

In the middle of our planning, Pam also took two weeks off to plan for her own wedding and through it all she would call or e-mail me. Pam was very responsive and listened to our budget constraints, but our desire to have things look and taste great. We have "champagne taste on a beer budget", and Pam made it happen for us.

We trusted Pam and her abilities so much so, we did not feel the need to taste test the menu items. Pam understood our busy work schedule and even met me at lunch with cake samples and with her photographer friend. We even scheduled to meet the florist together after work one day. Pam was more than our caterer; she was helping us out as a wedding coordinator without having the title. We wanted a 3-D frog for the groomsman's cake without a drawing or anything. We had seen Steel Magnolia's with the red velvet armadillo cake and knew we wanted a red velvet frog cake. Matt is my prince charming! Pam once again worked her magic and both cakes came out better than expected.

At the very last minute, we decided to host a hospitality suite at the hotel and my mom and twin sister from New Orleans wanted to host a bridal luncheon for me at my home. Once again, Pam rose to the occasion and totally exceeded our expectations. There were wonderful finger foods, small desserts, sodas, tea, water, and even balloons for the hospitality room. The bridal luncheon was totally catered by Pam and the frittata was a huge hit! My dad and brothers were disappointed they could not attend the bridal luncheon, but understood the wedding tradition. They missed out on a great luncheon, and nothing was overlooked or missed. No job is too small or too large for Aspen Catering.

We were amazed and impressed by Pam's thoroughness, professionalism, attention to detail, and wonderful personality. Our wedding plans ran so smoothly with Pam. It was a true piece of mind the catering, cake, and flowers, hospitality room and bridal luncheon were all taken care of! It allowed us to enjoy our guests company all the more. We recommended her to another friend whose daughter hired Pam and Aspen catering for their wedding reception in June 2004. Pam has an eye for detail, compassion to do a thorough job done right the first time, and a heart of gold. Pam listens to what you want and not what she thinks you should have or do. We will be glad to speak with anyone directly about Aspen Catering and the wonderful job Pam and her staff does on a regular basis. Our hat is off to you Pam and Aspen Catering!!!

Thank you, Saunders and Matt Grommesh

For the last 5 years Aspen has come through for us in more ways that I can possibly count! They are willing to do the impossible and make it seem easy! No request is too absurd for them to handle, Their food is outstanding, the staff is always friendly and courteous. No matter how many times I've called to make little changes they are still nice. Their patience is amazing! On the extremely rare occasion that there was a problem, Pam and her staff have done absolutely everything to make it right. Aspen is the epitome of what service and commitment to quality is all about! Aspen makes me look great and I love it (so does my boss!).

Thank you thank you thank you, Carolyn G., HCA North Texas Division

I began working with the staff at Aspen Catering (then Aspen Deli) in 1998 when I was employed in Irving. We had many employees (200+) and a small budget, but Pam was quite creative in finding ways to accommodate our budgetary constraints without compromising quality or taste. She continues to do so today and continues to provide exemplary service on a consistent basis that is quite rare today.

In 2000, I began working as an Executive Assistant to the CEO at Mannatech, Inc. in Coppell. Since I had always had such a harmonious working relationship with Pam and her crew at Aspen, I immediately began to include them in catering for the many lunches, receptions and dinners sponsored by Mannatech. Every month we have an Employee of the Month Breakfast which requires catering for 300 +/- people. Everyone always comes when they learn that Aspen is providing the food! Pam has often gone out on a limb for me, catering at the last minute for some important, unscheduled meeting. At present, I am the Secretary of our Mannatech Employees Committee (MAC) and now have even more opportunities to utilize Aspen's expertise. From our monthly meetings to employee breakfasts, lunches and receptions, many of our assistants here at Mannatech call Aspen for their catering needs.

Aspen's menu is fresh and appealing and new menu items are constantly being taste-tested and refined prior to offering. In a company where much catering is done (almost on a daily basis), this is very important. Aspen offers that rare combination of quality, presentation, appropriate quantity and consistently timely and accurate delivery that all companies need in today's hectic business environment. One more comment I would like to make is that Aspen Catering is truly a full-service business! They recently "rescued" me by handling silver, china, linens plus catering for a Board of Directors formal lunch. I knew I could count on them and, as usual, they came through splendidly!!

To summarize, I could not give a higher recommendation than the 10+ which I give to Pam and Aspen Catering. For years now, I have always signed my correspondence to Aspen as "Your #1 Fan," and now, 6 years later, I continue that same signature!
